Grey days…

A long ago friend

who went right off the rail

made a few bad decisions

and wound up in jail.

Years have gone by

since we had any ties,

tonight the phone rang

with a delightful surprise.

Hes earned back his freedom

by serving his time

By far alot wiser

about dancing with crime.

I look forward to a visit

from my long ago mate,

We’ll reminisce on the old days

I can’t bloody wait.

The plot thickens…

I spy with my little eye

clues that a friend tells a lie.

My gut loudly shouts

real and reasonable doubts

of the break in at home,

and 1 friends whereabouts…

Home detention…

I only have four sleeps to go.

My anklet comes off in 96 hours.

WoW!!

What a year it’s been!!

The judge gave me a sentence of time.

Time to reflect.

Time to grieve.

Time to accept.

I haven’t gone crazy being stuck at home.

My mind is in a better place than this time last year.

I still cry everyday.

But I’ve begun to live everyday again too.
